Happy Monday! For this Huddle of the Week post we are talking about something that is everywhere (it seems like) these days…machine learning and AI.

Machine learning and AI are transforming the events industry, making personalizing experiences and anticipating attendee needs easier. With the help of machine learning and AI, event planners can now gather and analyze data to make more informed decisions and improve ROI. But that's just the beginning. We have some exciting things here at Cvent that will make your life easier, like our AI writing assistant, but we would love to hear from you on what you are most excited about when it comes to AI.

1. What aspect of the event configuration takes you the longest to create? Usually the main page/landing page - I am very picky on the look/feel and first impression.
2. What intelligent feature or features would you most like to see from Cvent? Honestly no clue - AI is such a new thing for me and I am still unsure if it's something I would embrace - I'm a bit old school!

1. What aspect of the event configuration takes you the longest to create? - registration paths, session reports, alerts for events with more than one track. And keeping the formatting consistent across the site. The "Themes" section isn't informative enough (in my opinion) on what fields land where within the website designer.. It is trial and error and find myself manually reformatting certain fonts, colors, widget dimensions by page, rather than across the full site. 
2. What intelligent feature or features would you most like to see from Cvent? - Registrants being able to go in, post-registration, and pay fees for a group of folks - even if they don't all register at one time as a "group" or "guests" in Cvent. Perhaps a "shopping cart" option with confirmation numbers provided to supply a bulk payment - and one step further - an option to download bulk invoices for Offline Payments?!

Honestly, I worry about the incorporation of AI in everything. To me, this would only be useful if you're using content I've already created somewhere (like course descriptions in a program book) and the AI is reusing that to set up a template that I've already OK'd.

I don't want an AI creating content, because then I have to worry too much about if it got it right. That's more work for me, not less.

What I want is a way to have an automating take care of the cut-and-paste process of moving info into multiple places (program book, online registration, emails, etc.)

1. What aspect of the event configuration takes you the longest to create?
   1. Definitely the headers and footers, since they can't be copied. Then session management for attendees, since many of my events have assigned sessions. Finally, building emails, not necessarily for content, but just for the number of them. 
2. What intelligent feature or features would you most like to see from Cvent?
   1. I'm not so big on AI writing features, because I prefer to handle that myself, but I would love to see a feature that could help organize or clean up the media library.

1. What aspect of the event configuration takes you the longest to create? The landing page.  Usually it's because the stakeholders don't know what they're looking to utilize for the event in terms of session topics and offerings.  And often they can't verbalize what they're looking for so you start building only to be told, "No, that's not what I pictured," even though they can't describe what they picture.
2. What intelligent feature or features would you most like to see from Cvent? Agenda building maybe.  Perhaps if someone selects a session, others could be recommended with similar topics or level of knowledge.  Similar to utilizing tags, but for attendees who may not be familiar with them and would rather be offered suggestions.

1. What aspect of the event configuration takes you the longest to create?  Sessions, reg paths, and sometimes web development. The builder/canvas is so much better than what we had years ago in Starcite and RegOnline, but there are times the widgets and detailed build are so hidden or complex that it's still hard to build a website (or Access Portal) just the way you want it without some professional help. I am a bit rusty so it may be user error, but every little bit helps as we are all juggling a multitude of tasks!
2. What intelligent feature or features would you most like to see from Cvent?  I'd really love a deeper dive from Cvent on this topic at CONNECT. I know you just hosted the webinar on June 8 and I missed it, but I think we're all curious about how to integrate and how to keep the value of a person controlling/managing/building. I need help not only understanding the technology benefits and real-world application as it's not stopping anytime soon, but I also need to know where to carve out my value as a event professional.

Getting the information from the event planner. From session name, times, description to questions. Doesn't time long to  build, but getting the information is a sore point. Wish there was a way to have the planner provide all the information in a build sheet.

Find me the most effective reporting to use. Better deliverability of email.

1. What aspect of the event configuration takes you the longest to create?  When I'm creating an entirely new event, it's definitely laying out the Summary page on the website.  Once I have a style for a specific type of event, I tend to copy events to quickly set up another iteration of that event. For my one-off large-scale conferences, building and maintaining the agenda definitely takes the longest.
2. What intelligent feature or features would you most like to see from Cvent?  I would love to see additional data tags for things like cancellation dates or refund policies.  I have to manually change the cancellation date in every event reminder email that I send to ensure that attendees know that they won't receive a refund after X date.  I would also like to see some more intelligent copy and paste abilities in the agenda.  I want to be able to import each unique session that my event is hosting, and then copy it as many times as we are offering it at the event, rather than having to create a new agenda session from scratch.  The csv import tool is great for importing all of the sessions at the start of the planning stage, but as things adjust, I need to touch 3-4 individual sessions just to correct a typo in a description, or to add another instance of a session that we added to the schedule.  It would also be nice to be able to bulk change session settings instead of having to go into each session to open registration or change a view option.

1. What aspect of the event configuration takes you the longest to create? Typically ensuring the themes are correct and 'match' the feel I'm looking for on the site. Also ensuring that the spacing and look of the page is suitable to our standards. 
2. What intelligent feature or features would you most like to see from Cvent? I'm not even sure what AI features would be available to Cvent! Looking forward to seeing how it can help customers (like me!) take Cvent to the next level!
