  • 1.  Managing session registration for "Invite only" sessions

    Our event has 7 invite only sessions where we want to limit the people who can see/sign up for these session to those invited. For most cases, the invite only session would run concurrently with other optional sessions and those invited would be able to choose what they want to attend but those without the invite shouldn't see the invite only session - just the other optional sessions.

    Each session could have their own separate list of attendees but there might be some overlap on the invite lists. Is there a way to flag the users (assuming we import a list on the backend) to give them access to those sessions or do i have to figure out a way to set up registration types based on the various lists?

    Hi there,

    The best way to control Session visibility would be by Registration Type as you mentioned. You also could consider breaking out your Admission Items further, as you can control which Sessions are visible within the Advanced Settings tab of the Admission Item, as well.

    If these options do not work for you, you do have the option to bulk-update Session registration on the back-end, as long as the Session does not have fees. To easily sort through your list of invitees, you can import an Internal Information field with the Session name, and then apply an advanced search within Invitees & Registrants. Then, under the Bulk Actions dropdown you will see the option to Update Session Registrants.
