    Is there a way you can select all the contacts within a group and then change the contact type for all of them at one time?

    Hi Mary,

    Not sure if you're using standard or flex.  In flex, you would go to the contacts at the top bar (next to admin), select the contacts, then on the top right click update contact groups and then you have several options to edit.  You could select add to new group or add to existing, depending what you're looking to do.

    Hi Mary Lou,

    Click on the Contacts link at top to go to your address book, then use the dropdown to select the correct contact group. Select all, then Actions > Export and export to File. It will prompt you to select the fields you'd like to export, so choose First Name, Last Name, Email, and Contact Type at minimum. Update the Contact Type column  on the export, then choose "Import" and import the contacts back into the same Contact Group. This will update all of their contact types.

    Katie's suggestion is right on - you have to export the group, edit, and then import it back up. One of my pet peeves about Cvent is the fact that you can't slice and dice the data easier, which makes no sense since it's just a big database!
