  • 1.  Abstract Reviews

We are building the abstract system for our next meeting and trying to build it to be blind in the review stage.   We collect bio information during the abstract phase.
    1) Does anyone else do this and if so, are you able to do blind reviews?
    2)  Are you able to hide this information during the review phase?

    Thank you for any information,

    Hi Cornelia -

We work with a few associations that have done this with great success. It has given them a more well rounded program and it also has made reviewers not award preference to their "friends" or someone that they want to be in the program. :-)

There are a couple of places you will need to modify for this to be a true "blind" review. See screenshots.

First place, you will need to verify the following:
    >>>Click on the "Review" tab in the setup of the Abstract Submission Setup
    >>>Click edit and change the question "remove the author visibility" to "YES"

Second place, you will need to modify is within the site designer:
    >>>Once in the site designer, you will need to select the page at the top left hand side of your screen.
    >>>Mouse/Scroll down to the "review process" and click on "home" under this section.
    >>>Delete the section with the Author Information
