  • 1.  "already registered" error

    Some of our registrants attempt to register but are told they are already registered?  But they do not show up in our attendee list or in the abandoned registration list/  Anyone know why this is happening?

    First thing I'd do is search for that email address.

    When this happens to us, it's usually because the setting for the event is set to private, and we're working off attendee lists.  Cvent just tells us to set the site to Public, although that's not always possible.  We've had issues in the past where the site is searchable via Google, etc.  Why isn't there an option to select to turn that off, is my question.

    Hi Greg, Also check how they were invited. Off of a public weblink or data tag. Did someone forward the email with a data tag and the main invitee has already registered? Just lots of things to look at to help solve. ​
