  • 1.  Locking an event/make read-only

    Posted 01-02-2020 08:59
    Hi
My team has written over some of my event templates (instead of creating a new event and using the tenplate).
I can edit and fix, but would like to stop from happening again (have about 20 odd templates)
Event roles seem to be a good idea, but we didnt' use meeting request forms so isn't possible.
Is there no way to 'lock' an event? To make it read-only?
They're all pendign as opposed to live, if that makes a difference...
    Thanks
    Karen

    Hello Karen -

A possible solution for you might be to first make sure the events you have are set up as templates under Admin > Libraries > Event Templates. Once you verified that, you can limit the events visibility based on a user group - make sure everyone you want is added to that user group. Then the only way they will have access to the templates is when they click Create Event > Using an event template and will not be able to make changes to the template.
