    Hi There! 

    With everything going on in the world and the way that the events industry has pivoted to virtual and hybrid meetings - what key words do you see being integrated into job titles and descriptions? It is as if Meeting Planner is just not specific enough with all the new technology and changes!

    Great question!

    We've been talking about a Meeting Technology Coordinator/Director. Someone who is well versed in all things meeting and conference technology. No formal job description but honestly, I don't even have a formal job description for my role as "Program Director".

    Hi Kelly,

    I wanted to jump in here and also share the Cvent perspective. Although this was her role even prior to the shift to virtual, our Meetings & Events team has Taylor Bohn, our Senior Event Technology Analyst. As the Technology Analyst, Taylor handles all event technology aspects for Cvent's own internal events, such as our Companywide Meeting, our Global Town Halls, and of course Cvent CONNECT Virtual!

    She will be featured in the breakout session "Behind the Scenes: Taking Cvent CONNECT Virtual" on Wednesday at 2:00PM ET if you had any additional questions.

    Hi Kelly - 

    How about Event Strategist or Event Technologist? I've seen some documentation from Cvent about the emergence of the Event Technologist role, including responsibilities, that you may find interesting and helpful. A quick search of the Community or web browser should bring up some good articles.

    Great point to bring up! Still wanting to keep the event planner traits, but making sure to highlight technology and being adaptive to the current situation. We will get back to live events in the future, but we also know that the technology piece of hosting virtual will not go away. The title doesn't have to change, but putting technology as one of the first or second need to know items is very common now.

    I've gone with Event Technologist as it encompasses being able to cover most of the technology associated with producing an online event.
