I am trying to set up a Family Weekend event, and I am using the first parent as the registrant, and then students and additional family members are guest registrants. All adult registrants incur a registration fee of $15 (students and children under 17 are free from reg. fees.)
All is working fine, except when I go to the Registration Items page, it lists Event Registration, and the "Select" button is there.

When I click Select, it lists the four registrants, but there are also checks by their name so they can unselect the fee. I want to make this non-removeable. How do I do this? I've searched for a way to edit the instruction text, but so far it's eluded me.

You will need to create 2 seperate registration types so that you can associate the fee to the correct audience, and not both. For example, you would create an Adult registration type and under "fees" in the admission item, you would add that registration type to the $15 fee. You would associate the "child" registration type with the zero dollars fee. This makes it so that they are not able to uncheck the fees like you have shown.

Yes, I agree. You will need to have a registration type for each and add the guest widget. So once they add the guest they will select the guest type. Adult, student, etc. This will show the cost you have associated.
