I send the same day, 1 day, 7 days. But sometimes depends on the event. For one event that fills up fast, I send them everyday.
I also change the wording in each and make them a bit more urgent as time goes by. I also remind invitees if the fees are going up.
But I have noticed the open rates go down with the number of days.
