Yup. The Question Library is functioning though I am not sure if it is completely rolled out. We put the standardized questions in the Question Library that are not in our base templates.

Hi Loretta,
This is great. I think it will be helpful for you too when they roll-out the Question Library so you can save these standards to pull into your events to save time and update across the account faster. I think this is great that you are looking as standardizing things. It will help with cross event reporting to look for consistencies for planning year after year.
Great job!

HI JoAnna,
I'll start with the Question/Data Widgets. One size does not fit all, but this should give you an idea of what we did.
Examine the data you are gathering and understand its journey among your systems and Cvent.
- We standardized the field labels, for example, we use "Organization" instead of "Company" and Business", because our clients are private, public sector and nonprofit. This will prevent having different events with different field labels. I understand different organizations do things differently, however, this is a standard we created.
- Have a content grid that includes the Cvent widget names and your field label name, if the question is required or not, and notes.
- Have standardized content for different webpages and reg pages. For example, we have standard language for different scenarios related to the hotel accommodations.
- Do the same for questions if you have standard questions. Example: we have standard questions for golf outings.
- In another worksheet tab, map the order of the questions/text.
- Once you have your content set and mapped, build your templates and save the custom questions and text in the Question Library. I add setting notes into the content grid.
NOTE: We started in Flex back in Sept/Oct, we had to change up our questions, because the sub-logic question functionality was not rolled out yet. As functionality rolls out, you might need to examine if changes should be made.

I love this idea. Do you have any tips for when you implemented your templates that really helped?

Templates are efficient. When we recreated the templates in Flex, we took the opportunity to set standards in their design.

Hi Loretta,
This is a fantastic idea and I can't wait to hear all about your journey. The one thing I love about the tool is its endless. No event is the same and no site is the same. Templates are a great way to apply consistency and time saving strategies. Practicality for both the internal and external customers is the biggest piece to the puzzle that you need to think about when building the site for each event. What data do you need for this event? What data do you need for all events year after year?

Wish we could have Cvent Connect-ed!
This is conceptual, but after my visit to Cvent Connect, I was inspired to craft a strategic Flex implementation plan (Thank you, Capital Group for your inspiring presentation!) for our team using a stakeholder process to identify pain points (Thank You, Reggie!) and opportunities for innovations. As an early adopter of Flex and being new to Cvent, we have created our event templates and now I want to learn how to thoughtfully apply functionality to the benefit of our team and our internal and external customers.

Hi Loretta,
I am sorry I missed you at Connect. Do you have any good tips?
One good one a colleague just implemented was added the signature to the footer in our email communications. This way you only need to update the following line once.

Where it says "Team" We use Planner First and Planner Last under Event details. This also allows us to use those data tags through out the email communications and from fields.
