Since membership optional items aren't available yet in Flex, we're trying to come up with a workaround. Setting it up so they can pay member dues is easy (we just added them as sessions), but I'm having trouble figuring out how to automatically apply the member registration price to new members when we have several different member categories at different rates, all of which receive the same registration price.
ie:
- Nonmember pays $379 for reg
- Member type A pays $180 for membership + $199 for reg = $379 total
- Member type B pays $120 for membership + $199 for reg = $319 total
I've figured out an automatic discount for Member type A.... But does anyone know how I could set up Member type B? I can't just comp the membership, because the difference is more than the member rate. I've tried the option to charge a fixed price ($319), but that doesn't do anything. Help!!
