  • 1.  Credit card transaction fees

    We have an event that charges attendees $195. We want the attendees to pay the Cvent credit card transaction fee. How would I go about doing this? Just create another line item on the payment page?

    Hello Chelsea,

    You can use the service fee option. First, turn on service fee under Event Details / General / Event Configuration and under Event Details / Prices/ Services Fee you can create your own service fee name and price. This can be applied to invitee, guest or both. You can set the price by amount or percentage and even select a registration type to charge.

    What @James Rose suggests sounds like a plan. DIfferent credit cards have different transaction fees. I suppose you use the higher of the fee​s.

    Do you offer refunds? There is a transaction fee for those too.
