I work for a higher ed institution and we had an on-site Cvent training yesterday. When discussing how to substitute one attendee for another, we realized that the system currently put in place for tracking the initial registrant's engagement would not work for our institution. We need to have a record that shows Jane Doe initially responded to our invitation, even if she was replaced with someone else in actual attendance at the event. The way substitution works currently within Cvent, once someone is subbed for someone else the initial registrant no longer has any record associated with their contact showing they had initially agreed to attend or responded to our event invitation. To track engagement, it would be really great if the initial invitee and registrant was still linked to the event somehow, even if they ultimately substituted their registration with someone else.
