    As I get closer to an event, I find more things that bug me. :)
    Probably just me...

    In reporting, there is a field Primary Registrant (Guest of).
    I rely on that field to tell me who the guest is registered with.
    If invitee, I don't need to the name repeated. It's not necessary.

    Therefore, wouldn't it make more sense?

    if invitee/guest = guest
    name of invitee
    else
    eat a donut
    #ReportingandInsights

    Steven I have always struggle with the reporting on this field. Its a big pain point for me.

    The reporting on guests aren't bad. The field is just redundant, AFAIK.
    All of our events allow for guests, so I'm used to it.

    I use this field often and having it included on the Primary record is useful so that reports can be sorted on this field which in turn places primary and guest records together in the report.  If the Invitee/Guest field is included in the report also you can also float the Primary attendee to the top of the group so that your reports are essentially in order by primary registrant followed by all guests.

    @John Maddox  Come to think of it, I do use the Primary Registrant (Guest of). I often it as a subsort when grouping registrations together.​ I forgot all about that. I retract my original comment. :)
