  • 1.  Invitee can add to waitlist even though registration is closed

    I have a simple flex event.
    All the admissions are closed.
    The event is closed.
    Invitees can still add themselves to the event waitlist.

    Bug or by nature?
    I created a support ticket.

    Hi Steven,

    This is by design. If you have Event Waitlist enabled within Event Configuration, then once the event closes due to manually closing, reaching overall capacity, or registration deadline passing, the waitlist will become enabled for invitees. 

    If you do not want this enabled, you can either toggle it on/off per Registration Path, or disable for the entire event. Be sure to check if any invitees are currently on the waitlist and take necessary action before entirely disabling it.

    I guess I was thinking waitlist was for sessions. Didn't think about it being a waitlist for the event.

    I ended up removing the names on my waitlist, then closed registration. All good now.
