Looking for suggestions.  We need to tell attendees not just their seating assignment - but also those at the table with them.

The first part -super easy.  The second - looking for suggestions.  There does not seem to be a data tag that lists all table occupants that can be embedded in a confirmation email.  Does anyone else have this need?  And how do you address?

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Could you use a custom data tag with some other info from the reg form?

We can (and I think we'll have to).  The challenge is you have to create a tag for each seat at the table - so 6 in all.  Then you have to create a spreadsheet that has each person on a single line with columns that have every other person at their table in one of the custom fields.  So your import file looks like this (only table 1 here).  We have 53 tables so massive effort to create.  So the below x 53

    First Name

    Last Name

    Email

    Table Name

    Seat 1

    Seat 2

    Seat 3

    Seat 4

    John

    Smith

    Hi Heather -

Haven't tried it myself, but am thinking that you could add an Internal field question and populate that with the Names for each table (example:  Table 1 =  George and Martha Washington, Abe and Mary Lincoln) and then you could create a custom data tag with the Internal Field information.  Probably easiest done by exporting the names and adding the Internal Information through an Excel upload.

Here are some articles that can help walk you through the process:

How do I add internal information responses to my invitee's email or name badge? - https://support.cvent.com/apex/CommunityArticle?id=000019097

    Hope it helps!

    Hi Heather,

While we do not currently have a data tag that populates attendee names who are assigned to a table, this is great feedback. Feel free to post this under the "Ideas" tab to provide your feedback to the product team directly and other Cvent users can upvote your idea!

You could create a seating chart that has seating arrangements for all tables and include it in a link, image widget, or text widget in an event email for registrants to view who they are sitting with. It would not be personalized, but the registrant would easily be able to check who they are siting with if they are interested.

    Hopefully this helps!

    Best,

    Thanks Amanda

In this case we have to send the whole table - and it's not something where we can post the whole thing for all to see.
