    - What to Avoid: 1) Avoid spending time in the system back-end while checking in crowds of attendees. 2) Don't use paper, pens, and names on lists to obtain required signatures! Use OnArrival.

We love the onarrival check in stats! Our event managers are always checking in to see where we're at numbers wide for code and f&b needs so we actually sent them up with reporting logins only and they can see everything in real time and it saves a lot of headache stopping the check-in process to answer questions.

On Arrival is a gem of a tool; there is another tool that Cvent recently acquired (Social Tables) now called Cvent Diagramming and Seating.  You can check attendees in and can assign seating (utilizing hotel space or your organization's space). After check in, the attendees' name will appear on their chair.  If you have not seen this yet, I would ask for a demo,

We use session check in for our meals.
We routinely see around 80% check in.
We provide meals for our sponsors who don't always show up.
Then there are those cancellations and normal no shows.

We are no longer concerned if our registration number is higher than what we tell F&B.
There is a reason airlines overbook. :)

Also once we get to 80%, staff can sit down and eat.

We love On Arrival! It brings a level of professionalism to the event as well! And now... there's an app for that! :)

We love using OnArrival Premium as well as Event in A Box and just completed our 5th annual conference using OA Premium and it is fantastic. New this year for our May 2021 event in Las Vegas we actually implemented touchless check-in, alongside our standard check-in process in order to better help attendees feel comfortable getting back to in-person meetings. We incorporated their QR code into their confirmation emails at the very bottom of the page and when they arrived onsite we simply asked them to search for their confirmation email and hold it up to the sensor to check-in. Most didn't even realize the code was there prior to arriving onsite, so there were no lingering questions or concerns leading up to them coming onsite. All in all it was seamless and easy! It was fantastic and we will give this option every time going forward.

    Thank you!
