Jenn - thank you so much for your response! I have that toggled to on. When I spoke to Cvent customer support twice yesterday, they were also confused about why it wasn't working. Unfortunately, I keep receiving emails from admins.

hi Kim,
I'm assuming this is a FLEX site and in the Site Designer, you'll want to click on the "cog" icon next to the registration path for the settings and there's a button to turn on to "assign registration on behalf of someone else" - see screenshot below. I've used this esp. when I have an event where typically the admin will register for their exec. Hope this helps and good luck!

Unfortunately we ran into a problem yesterday with the RSVP YES URL. We sent email invitations to a group, and when their admin tried to register them, the system did not allow her to change the identification fields. It auto populated with her details.
I contacted Cvent but the only work around was forwarding the weblink for the summary page to her. For those who received the invitation, and registered themselves it worked perfectly. I thought there would be a way to edit those fields if you were registering on someone's behalf.

Hey Tori, I discovered the problem. In my test event, the submit button is on the bottom of the personal information page. I had to create a page after personal information because autofill doesn't work unless the "next" button is at the bottom of the page.

That's so weird! I currently have it set up this way in one of my events and it's worked fine! Of course, my site is still in test mode; I hope that doesn't change once it goes live!

That is great! Unfortunately, when I tested it my information didn't auto-fill. I have a fake event I use for testing ideas. I used the data tag and the RSVP url and neither one worked the way I thought it would. None of the information auto-filled for my contact.

You can...yay!!
Just make sure you are using the RSVP URL instead of the RSVP link - {[E-RSVP YES URL]} - and it will let you add it into the URL field for the button. :)

Thanks Tori! I wish I could use the data tag inside the button widget. We really prefer the look of a button vs. linked text to register.

I had this same issue - I was told by support that along with using those settings, the feature only works if the attendee arrives from the "RSVP Yes URL" datatag on the email. That's the only way the site can pull in the information for the individual because it can see who they are ahead of time.

Typically, we email event invitations to our members. We're hesitate to send the invitations directly from cvent because our outlook address groups are large and we typically cc people who we know will not attend but need to be aware of the event.
We were disappointed to hear our members' information (email address, title, etc.) will not auto-populate when they return to the site unless we send the event invitation from cvent.
I noticed our contact list has everyone who registered for our first cvent event. It seems like once they are in our contacts list, their personal information should be saved. Wouldn't cvent "recognize" them once they enter their email address? Whether I send the invitation via cvent or weblink?
Am I wrong? Thanks for your help!
