1. How to @-Mention Another Community Member

At-mentions allow you to call attention to specific community members in your posts, much like tagging someone on social media.

  • Step 1: When writing a post or reply, type the "@" symbol.

  • Step 2: Start typing the member's name. A drop-down list of suggested members will appear.

  • Step 3: Select the correct member from the list. This will notify the person and help bring them into the conversation.

Tip: Use @-mentions to get the attention of members who may have relevant expertise to contribute.

2. How to Mark a Reply as the Best Answer

When you ask a question, other community members may reply with helpful solutions. Marking the best answer ensures that future visitors can quickly find the right solution.

  • Step 1: Scroll through the replies to your question.

  • Step 2: Identify the response that best answers your question or that you found particularly helpful.

  • Step 3: Select the drop-down arrow next to the “Reply” button. You’ll see a few different options, at the top is “Make Best Answer”.

Tip: This feature helps others save time and recognize the most helpful responses in the thread!

3. How to Like an Answer or Reply

Show your appreciation for helpful or insightful comments by giving them a like.

  • Step 1: To the right side of the post or reply, select the "Like" button.

  • Step 2: Click it to give recognition to the contributor.

Tip: Liking posts shows supplemental answers are helpful and valuable, like an endorsement.

4. How to Follow a Discussion

Stay up-to-date on any ongoing discussions that interest you by following them.

  • Step 1: Navigate to the discussion thread you want to follow.

  • Step 2: At the top of the thread to the right, locate the "Follow " button.

  • Step 3: Select "Follow " to receive email notifications whenever there’s a new post or reply.

Tip: You can manage which discussions you follow from your profile settings at any time.
