    Posted 20 days ago
    Hi!
I was working on setting up my first event and I came across an issue with setting up a multiple choice question. I reached out to chat and they were unable to help, now I have a follow up question and I was wondering if anyone else has a solve for this.
My question was regarding putting the answers for multiple choice questions in two columns. I wasn't able to do that within the event question widget.
But I did remember this morning that I saw this in the question library (an option to select multiple columns for the answers) - This is what I am looking for --
However, in the event I am using a sub question to the Dietary Y/N question that would have these answers. I did not see a way that I could pull a question from the question library and use it as a subquestion.
    My questions are:
    1. If you can create columns for answers in the question library, why can I not create them in the question widget within the event?
    2. Is there a way to set up a question in the library that links to the sub question already?
    3. Can you use a library question in the subquestion widget?

    Hi Abbey,

Multiple-choice answers cannot be displayed in two columns in event forms, as the multi-column option only exists in the Question Library preview. Library questions also cannot be used as sub-questions-once added to an event, they become standalone and lose any parent/sub-question structure. There is no way to create reusable sub-questions that automatically link to a parent question, so any sub-question logic must be rebuilt manually at the event level. To reuse a sub-question, you must save it as its own library question and apply visibility logic, though this is not a true sub-question and may affect reporting. Workarounds for multi-column display are limited, as answer choices cannot be arranged in columns within a single question.

    HI! Thanks for the reply!

Would love to see this feature of multi-column display in the future.

    I appreciate your answer.
