Hello Abbey,
Planner alert emails are activity-based, meaning they are only triggered when a registrant performs a specific action (such as registering, canceling, updating details, etc.). Because of this, there isn't an option to send a standalone test email like there is for other email types on the platform.
To properly test a planner alert, the exact triggering scenario must be performed. For example, to test a cancellation planner alert, a registration must be completed and then canceled so the system can generate the alert as expected.
At this time, going through the actual registrant workflow is the required and accurate way to test these alerts.
I hope this clarifies how planner alerts work. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Subject: Testing Planner Alert Emails
Hi!
I've been looking for the best way to test the planner alert emails. I'm curious as to why you cannot simply send a test email like you can with other emails throughout the platform.
The only way I've seen suggested for testing is to actually go through the scenario and then receive the associated planner alert email. For example I should cancel a registration and then I will receive the cancellation planner alert email.
I'm asking here to see if I am missing a better solution for testing these email alerts or if anyone has a suggestion.
Thank you!
