Benefits of Using Webinars for Lead Generation

Hello everyone! We are here to kick off Monday with our next Huddle of the Week!

Webinars allow for direct interaction between the brand and the audience, and with an audience who has chosen to attend, there is already a vested interest in the topic and brand. The content of the webinar should be aligned with the brand's offering and position and focused on thought leadership instead of direct sales messages. Webinars offer unique circumstances that provide audiences with more opportunities to interact with the brand, ask questions, and gain valuable insights. Webinars also provide an opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the audience and plenty of data for each attendee, which can help build a richer profile for each attendee's specific challenges and needs. Webinars should be part of an overarching content marketing and lead generation strategy, and a purpose-built webinar platform should be used for the best possible engagement of the audience.

    Questions for you:

    • Have you attended any webinars recently? What was your experience like?
    • How do you ensure that the content of your webinar is aligned with your brand's offering and position?

Want to learn more about the benefits of using webinars for lead generation? Check out our Cvent Blog post – Webinars for Lead Generation in 2023- today! We now have the Cvent Webinar Learning Center available to you!

    • Have you attended any webinars recently? What was your experience like? Several - some were more powerful than others.  The ones with no interaction (polls, knowledge checks, etc.) were easy to tune out though.
    • How do you ensure that the content of your webinar is aligned with your brand's offering and position? Reviewing feedback to see what attendees want to learn about and figuring out how to tie that in with the brand.

    • Have you attended any webinars recently? What was your experience like?
      • Yes, I am constantly registering / attending webinars! I do find that some might be titled as something that I think will be helpful to me and my company, however it's hard when they are very high level, and you can get distracted if the topic starts going in a direction that doesn't apply to my team.
    • How do you ensure that the content of your webinar is aligned with your brand's offering and position?
      • Our webinars will have our company branding everwhere, as well as follow the key purpose and objectives of this years ambition. That is the consistent driver for our webinar topics.

    • Have you attended any webinars recently? What was your experience like? Some. The ones that are all clearly pre-recorded are a bit harder to engage in. It's OK for some elements to be pre-recorded but for the whole thing to be off just doesn't feel as true to an event. Ones that engage, ask very targeted questions and the people talk back in real-time on the responses.
    • How do you ensure that the content of your webinar is aligned with your brand's offering and position? Take a look at what people are attending said on past events, ensure the audience is relevant to your discussions and is on track with what your company does

    • Have you attended any webinars recently? What was your experience like? I sign up for more webinars that I am often able to attend live but with the recordings, I can watch them later on demand. I try to be selective in the ones I register for to fit my role or pick up tips and tricks that I can share with my team. Some webinars just brush the surface but some of them can prove really useful.
    • How do you ensure that the content of your webinar is aligned with your brand's offering and position? We review the content from past events to make sure we are offering something new or offering a more advance level of a previously taught topic. We also poll our staff and customers to see what they think we should teach vs what we need to teach them. We involve several departments but marketing is always involved to make sure the presentations follow our guidelines and strategy.

    • Have you attended any webinars recently? What was your experience like? Yes, I've attended LinkedIn Premium webinars to learn more about the software, Indeed webinars about tips and tricks for interviewing and setting up you resume and Cvent webinars on Cvent Celebrity. Definitely good experiences with all three.
    • How do you ensure that the content of your webinar is aligned with your brand's offering and position? I think its best to get straight to the point and have some interactive activities so your audience doesn't fall asleep. Q&A, polls, links, etc all help with participation and make it more fun. Feedback at the end is always helpful as well. Did you learn everything you wanted to learn? What could we improve on? What did we do well already? And always send a link to the recording at the end so we can go back if we missed something.

    • Have you attended any webinars recently? What was your experience like?
I attend webinars fairly regularly, and as a marketer I am paying attention to what platform they are using, what features are in the platform, and how they are leveraging the webinar. Functionality has really changed over the last few years - It's very impressive!
    • How do you ensure that the content of your webinar is aligned with your brand's offering and position?
We work closely with our subject matter experts to ensure our webinars are a great source of learning for the attendee, as well as a lead gen tool for us.

    • Have you attended any webinars recently? What was your experience like? We have just started doing evergreen webinars. It will be good for us in the long run to get more views.  The webinars I have been to recently have a better experience before and between sessions-hold music, graphics, etc. That is something we are missing.
    • How do you ensure that the content of your webinar is aligned with your brand's offering and position? This is difficult when allowing members/clients to curate the content. We get an outline/preview of the content and then provide the templates, backdrops for the webinars but can't always guarantee they align with our positions.

    • Have you attended any webinars recently? What was your experience like? Yes, I have attended a few recently. Some of which were engaging and other that were not as they did not have polls throughout the webinar.
    • How do you ensure that the content of your webinar is aligned with your brand's offering and position? Listening to feedback from attendees and feedback from coworkers when planning

    • Have you attended any webinars recently? What was your experience like?

I usually save webinar recordings to watch in my own time, rather than joining at the live webinar time, because I'm in so many meetings that I'm usually unable to go live. I like to skim through webinar recordings to get best practices and new ideas to bring back to my team.

    • How do you ensure that the content of your webinar is aligned with your brand's offering and position?

Our webinars are almost entirely built around what our members have told us they want to know about, so alignment is rarely an issue for us.

    • Have you attended any webinars recently? What was your experience like? I attended a Cvent webinar and was so impressed by the smooth transitions between videos and presentations, as well as the use of polls for audience interaction.
    • How do you ensure that the content of your webinar is aligned with your brand's offering and position? Presentations utilize branding in opening and closing slides. Recently, I've been focusing on the accessibility aspects of webinar presentations to ensure they meet our DEI standards and are accessible to all our viewers and participants.

    • Have you attended any webinars recently? What was your experience like? I've attended more than I would like and it's always very different.  For the good ones it was pure webinar (can't see everyone) but they allowed for guests to join the room on camera to engage. To me you must have clean visuals, I need to see the person talking (the voice of God gets boring), and it's only an hour.  Online webinars that go more than an hour lose me.
    • How do you ensure that the content of your webinar is aligned with your brand's offering and position? I try to ensure I'm always following our brand in all that I do. If it's making the slides to flow in our branding styles (color/style/font). I try to keep the entire program innovative and clean. Lastly I strive for diversity as that is a huge part of our brand.
