  • 1.  Clone event - email preview

    I am almost finished creating my first event in CVENT.   I cloned a previous event.  I've updated the custom email.  However, when I click "preview" on the home email page, the old email still appears.  I am guessing it is because I have not published the event yet.... Is this the case or is it something else?  TIA

    Hi Pam,

    Cloning an event does pull over all of the previous emails, and if you clicked to do so, it should turn them all off.  That does not affect how you update them as far as I know.  And as you were doing, they all need to be updated manually.  The data tags (like E-Title) will default to the new event.

    If you went into the Design Email button, made your changes, and then clicked on Save, the Preview feature should have updated.   I always seem to remember to update the body of the email, but then forget to change the Subject Line.  That is in the Details section of the email.
