To clarify, do you mean an invitee list, or an actual list of registered attendees? You can absolutely delete an invitee list and start over, but if you uploaded an attendee list, where they are registered attendees, I believe the only thing you can do is unregister them. They can't be removed from the system at that point; they stay on the list with a "cancelled" status.
