Once a session is selected by any invitee, it cannot be deleted even if they unregister from that session. This is because there is an audit history attached to the session. However, you can go ahead and close the session for registration so that it does not display on front end and then cancel the session.
To close the session for registration, please go to the event > Agenda > Session List > Click on the session's name > Edit > Scroll down to 'Status & Capacity' section > Allow registration : No > Save.
Then to cancel the session, under the session, click on actions on top right > Cancel session.
