    Hello Forum!

I'm working on creating my first badge, and I'm having some trouble getting data tags to format the way I'd like.  I'm looking to include the attendee's Work City, Work State, and Work Country on their badge, but I'm struggling to insert commas between the data without awkward spacing between the data and the comma.  So far I have added the Work City data tag, then added a text box with a comma, merged the two together, then add the Work State data ag and merged it in, rinse and repeat.  But I end up with something like this: "New York , NY , USA"

Has anyone found a good way to get this to work?

    Thanks!

My workaround for these situations is to create an Internal Information question

    • Attendees >
    • Internal Information

Export first name, last name, confirmation number, city, state, country.

Add your internal question column to the excel file.

Concat your fields in the question column. Save as text, Import back. Rinse just once.

Use the new internal information data tag in your badge.

I'm sure I'm leaving out a step or two.

This is how I fix first names who have a preferred nick name.

Jess - I wonder if when you are merging the text boxes, it's adding a space in between each element. Have you tried inserting the tags into the same text box?

    I tend to overcomplicate things.:)

    Krysten got it. 👍

You don't need a text box. Add your data fields then drag then into each other.

Oh, I hadn't realized I could type directly into the data tag fields!  I just gave it a try, and that is working great.  Thanks!
