  • 1.  How can I stop the clock (as a venue) once I have received an RFP?

    Posted 20 days ago

We are trying to increase our response time as a team. Does anyone have any Best Practices?

Is there anything I can do to "stop the clock" other than submitting the actual RFP?

Can I hit "Mark in progress" will this stop the clock?

    Thanks guys,
    Erin

Thank you for posting this question, Erin! As a Lead Catcher, whose hours are (supposed to be) 8:00-4:00, I find that we have missed opportunities in the RFP Showcase because they come in well past regular business hours. Now I'm checking in at home after dinner or before I get ready in the morning to leave for work. It does seem like there should be a way acknowledge and allow time for a Sales Manager to respond to any of these leads, especially those that come in at off hours.

    Erin,

I don't think "Mark in Progress" will stop the clock, but I have a drastic way of doing it.    Turn it down.

If it is a questionable opportunity that will take a lot of analysis before responding, and you turn it down quickly, you can always go back and rescind the turn down and send a full response.

What do you think?   Would you ever try that?
