  • 1.  How do you easily copy email designs and settings from one invitation to another?

    Does anyone have a trick to easily copy all emails and settings from one invitation list to another? 

    I'm going into EACH email in EACH invitation list and copying them one by one. Then, I go to Advanced Settings and edit EACH of them. 

    Many of our email designs and settings are the same across multiple invitation lists. I feel like there has to be an easier way to do this.

    Can anyone tell me how you're doing this?

    There isn't an easy way to copy the emails after you have created the invitation list, what I have done is ensure all the emails are correct first in one list, then delete & re-create the other invitation lists making sure you have "Use another list's emails:" set to yes and select the set of emails from the correct invitation list and it will copy them all over. Saves a huge amount of time.

    Thank you so much for your answers! I was not using the "Use another list's emails" option so that definitely will help!

    It didn't even occur to me to use this because I always created all invitation lists, corresponding reg types, and corresponding reg paths/sites first. Then moved on to creating all emails. But I suppose I'll need to create one main invitation list, get its site/path/emails done correctly, then do the rest of them.

    I do wish, though, Cvent develops an easier way to create emails. Say, if we just have one main email organization/design page, create an email and attach applicable invitation lists to the email you created, that would be easier. Instead of having a separate page for each list.

    Even copying emails within the same invitation list.... It would great to have features similar to that within the Event Builder.  I have not found a way to Duplicate a fully customized text box from one email to another, as you can from one page to another on the website or registration paths.  Sending out vibes to have some enhancements and new releases for emails soon!

    Yes, I agree! I can't tell you how many times I "tried" to do that in the email designer, only to realize that there is no such an option.

    As others have mentioned, this is definitely an area that is behind for Cvent features. I think Stuart has the best workaround for now, though.

    Hi Etsuko - 

    Hoping this will help with your process.

    You can quickly copy the emails from one invitation list to another as long as they are both in the same event. Just go to Email > Invitation Lists. Click Create Invitation List. In the Email Options section, switch "Use another list's emails" to Yes. Select the invitation list from the dropdown. Finish creating the new invitation list, then customize the copied emails, if necessary.
