Is there a way to prevent participants from registering for specific sessions but still show those sessions in the app. We want to list demos in the expo hall as being available like a session but not allow anyone to register for them in the mobile app.  We would like attendees to be able to register for sessions  occurring during that same time frame.

We would prefer not to just list the demo in the exhibitor section of the app.

I am familiar with the session settings for allowing registration.  The Cvent help info shows the following. If "Allow registration in Attendee Hub" is set to No, attendees will not see the session in Attendee Hub unless they are registered for that session or they selected it during the registration process

I don't think there is a perfect way to do this but you could create the demos as included sessions so that it will show on the main schedule, however, it will also show on their personalized schedules. Then, on your sessions widget in registration, you would allow attendees to be able to select overlapping sessions (Toggle "Allow registrants to select sessions that overlap" to on).

@Ashley May Thanks for the response. We have allowed attendees to add more than one session to their agenda the last two years and it causes issues because sessions look full when they are not and creates a false sense of how many people actually be in the room for the session.  For our next event we were planning not to allow more than one session during a given time frame. We may need to just to add info at the end of session abstracts that talks about the demos that attendees could to to explore in the expo that are related to that session.

Maybe you could create a custom page in the app called "Available Demos" and list the times and location in the Expo?
