    Hi everyone,

    I had to design a website and event emails last week and I had a real issue with it.

    I could not save my modifications made on the event emails.

    Everytime I needed to add or delete something of the emails, there was a list of errors showing up that would not allow me to save my corrrections.

    Invalid data tag : HR - HOTEL NAME in final confirmation email - go to issue
    Invalid data tag : E-MAIL URL in Ressource email center/single task reminder email/all tasks reminder email - go to issue

    So, I have checked the final confirmation email and there was that HR - HOTEL NAME data tag include in it that did not exist on my data tag list.

    That data tag was referring to nothing.

    I have tried to take that data tag off the email
    I have tried to change it with another data tag
    I have tried to actually create a hotel name data tag
    I have delete this final confirmation email

    Nothing worked. It would not allow me to save the modifications.

    For the E-mail URL, I went to check the issue and there was not email URL in any of of them.

    So, I could not correct an error that was not existing.

    Could you please help so it does not happen on my next event?

    Hello!

    My previous coworker had the same issue when she was creating a new Flex event from scratch. Our templates that we copy now do not have this issue. For the life of me I can't remember exactly what she did but have you tried to copy content from another email that does not have error alerts to basically clear what is currently on the emails outside of the email designer?

    I would try creating a new email and wiping all the coding by pasting it into a notepad and then copy and pasting from there into your blank email.  If this doesn't work support is super helpful to trouble shoot issues like this and can often see things we may not.

    Hi Amy, Hi Katie,

    This is an EDIT.

    I think the issue comes from the creation of the final confirmation email.

    I realized there was a final confirmation email in every path so I deleted them all. It does not show up as an error anymore.

    But, still appear in the ressources speaker center emails I have not access to.

    I think there is an issue with the template when created I don't have access to it.

    Getting better!!!

    Hi Khadia,

    It seems as though the system is not behaving as expected if the data tags C-HOTEL NAME and HR-HOTEL NAME are not in your emails, but the error is still showing and preventing you from saving. I recommend calling our 24/7 Customer Care team so that they can help you determine and fix the issue at hand or escalate this to our technology team.

    Hi Khadia,
    Submit a support ticket, as this sounds like you may have some "gremlins" living in your template that they can perhaps clear out on the back end, or help you resolve. Cvent support is very helpful!

    Hi - I've had that issue before and honestly - it's easier just to create a new email from scratch without the errored data tags.
