    How do you ensure only people who are on the invitation list are allowed to register? I want to make sure that if someone forwards the invitation to someone not on the list they will not be able to register.

    Hi Aviva!

    On the registration process build page, open the registration path and click on the gear wheel next to your registration type. If you scroll down a little, you'll see the Privacy Settings, where you can designate if the site is open to the public or only available to those on a invitation list:

    Make sure you do this for all of your registration paths!

    I'm working with the Cvent support right now, but I was curious if there were others who had experienced the same thing as me. We are using this to limit the access to registration. However, we don't have the full names of the registrants, we only have the email address. I'm able to upload the list, but when they try to register, they have a popup saying that registration isn't available.

    Is anyone having trouble working with invitation list without full names?

    Hi Aviva,

    In the event's registration path settings you can set the privacy to allow only those on invitation lists to register for the event. If you have multiple registration paths, you'll need to enable this setting on all paths. You can do this from the Event > Registration > Registration Process > Open Site Designer > click the Registration Page dropdown in the top lefthand corner > next to the registration path's name, click the gear icon to enter its settings > under Privacy Settings change who can register for the event to only those on invitation lists or only those on certain invitation lists > Apply > Save and repeat on other Registration Paths, if relevant > Publish all changes.

    You just need to update the privacy settings so that only those on the invitation list can register! Something to keep in mind when you do this - sometimes attendees try to register with a different email address than what is on the invitation list. That will block them from registering, even if it's the same name.
