I want to have an optional item added to my registration but there is a limited number available. Is it possible to set it up so that once that number is reached it will no longer appear? For example I have 8 cups. I want people to be able to add that item during their registration but after the first 8 people have done so I want the option to disapear. I know I can do this manually but I don't want to have any additional people purchase it if I don't get it closed in time. Any ideas how this would work?

I believe I found the obvious answer. You can set a capacity when you create the optional item. However, it is still unclear what happens exactly when capacity is reached. Does it just grey out, give a warning that the capacity has been reached. I want to make sure I understand what this will look like so that I can answer questions about it. Has anyone done this and if so what did it look like in registration once the capacity was reached.

Hi Steven!

I confess I haven't seen one of these in a while so I'm not 100% sure, but I don't believe they disappear. I think they become unselectable and may have the words "sold out" or "closed" under the selection box.
