Hi Ofra,
Great question! I've seen this done a few different ways. One that is most common is having two admission items.
- Regular Conference Admission
- Pre-conference Trainings and Conference Admission
With the pre-conference trainings and conference admission, we can use session availability to then make the training sessions available to those who select this admission item. You can either associate the fee to the admission item itself, or we can associate the fee to the training sessions. By leveraging a second admission item, we can hide the training sessions from those who only select Regular Conference Admission.
The other option I have seen is to just make those trainings each a session with fees associated to them. You can open these sessions to everyone during registration and allow them to register and pay for them.
Let me know if you have additional questions here!

Subject: Seeking Advice on Selling and Managing Pre-Conference Training Sessions
We're looking for some guidance on how to best manage ticketing and registration for our pre-conference training sessions. Here's our current setup:
Attendees can purchase a standard conference pass.
In addition, they can opt to purchase access to one or more pre-conference training courses held 1–2 days before the main event.
We'd like attendees who purchase the pre-con add-on to then select which specific training sessions they'll attend.
We're trying to find the most seamless way to handle this-both from a user experience and admin standpoint. We used pass types in the past, but looking for better options.
If you've handled something similar, we'd love to hear. Thanks in advance for any insights!
