  • 1.  Template/Framework for content collection

Hello, Does anyone have a framework/template for content collection for the Event App? We have a large team that all contribute to the content of the event app and need a simple way for them to drop their content into a template/framework on our Google drive. Has anyone created this and be willing to share so i don't have to create from scratch?

Its always hard to wrangle but we found it easiest to create PPT slides for each area and put it on a shared drive and ask people to fill in their assigned slides.

We don't have a template yet, Marsha, as we are just getting underway in our event apps, but I'm already thinking about a Google doc/shared drive Excel doc that has tabs for each section with prompts for what's needed (e.g. copy, content, etc). It might take a while for us to get it all together, but if we put in the work with the first big show I think the template will have legs for future use.  Then everyone can still contribute but you are giving guideposts along the way. That's not substantially different from Rachel's previous comment, but I prefer Excel!

Have you ruled out using a Meeting Request Form? Keeping the process within Cvent, and then you can leverage Custom Event Fields to pre-populate in app.

I don't have a solution to this, but I want to follow because we could use a solution for this as well!

Not the ideal solution but I've created an excel document - one tab for the high level areas to collect all the data.  The bonus of an excel sheet is that you can use it to upload items such as notifications and your sessions. It's worked for our teams to collect the information so far.

Attached is the file I use - it contains the appropriate columns for import where available.
