As a hotel, we find that most of our meetings are in-person, however we do have a fancy adrop down video conferencing projector & screen. We haven't had a lot of requests for it though. Curious if you hold your virtual events from the office and/or a hotel/meeting venue? We'd love to do more hybrid events!

    Questions for you:

    1. Are you still planning virtual events? Yes, but we have also added a virtual component to many of our in-person programs.
    2. What advice would you share for hosting a virtual event? The content should be easily digestible and no longer than 20-40 minutes. Also, be sure to prepare your presenters for mediocre attendance, and record the session for others to take in at another time.

    1. Are you still planning virtual events? We are not doing full virtual event, but still hold webinars on occasion.
    2. What advice would you share for hosting a virtual event? My advice, it to always be looking at how to engage your audience, before, during and after. Small incentives a a great way to entice someone to participate.

    1. Are you still planning virtual events?  Hybrid or live events with recorded sessions available post- event.
    2. What advice would you share for hosting a virtual event?  Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.  Technology can have hiccups, just have contingency plans in place and do a run through prior to the event.

    1. Are you still planning virtual events? - We are doing only 2 or 3 a year now. Thankfully!
    2. What advice would you share for hosting a virtual event - The attendee hub does help. Be sure to have both phone and email coverage the first days or hours to make sure all can log in and if they have issues, be there to troubleshoot with them.

    1. Are you still planning virtual events? - Yes, not as frequently, but some events work just as well virtually as in-person, and it can be a real money saver as well as allowing more participation from peopel who wouldn't be able to make an in-person event

    2. What advice would you share for hosting a virtual event? - make sure you're planning for interaction from attendees - you need to build it in as a basic part of the event - polls, chat, etc.

    2. What advice would you share for hosting a virtual event? I think the most important part is keeping people engaged from their homes and still having those networking opportunities that are so important.

    1. Are you still planning virtual events?

Our company currently does not have virtual events, but are looking to add them to our agenda in the upcoming year.

          2. What advice would you share for hosting a virtual event?

Although we do not have virtual events yet, I have attended many myself. I would say camera angle and lighting is a plus so it feels more engaging to the online viewers. Live polls and things to engage in are important to keep the attendee interested.

    1. Are you still planning virtual events? The only virtual events we host are internal company wide meetings. Being in the transportation industry, people really prefer in-person events over virtual ones. We do offer on-demand content once our conference is over
    2. What advice would you share for hosting a virtual event? Figure out ways to keep your audience engaged and try to make your virtual events short

    2. What advice would you share for hosting a virtual event?

Organization is key! Also, getting as much on-demand content posted is a huge value add for attendees.

    1. Are you still planning virtual events? Yes. External facing are usually webinar trainings. Internal are meetings and events, esp. hybrid for townhalls
    2. What advice would you share for hosting a virtual event? Reminders: it's OK to nudge.  Attendees say they've come to rely on 15-Minute Reminder notification email.
