At Cvent Connect 2024, we introduced an engaging session titled "Community Conversations: Efficient Event Tech Strategies for Campus-wide Success." This session aimed to facilitate connections and knowledge sharing among our Higher Education Users. Our main objective was to create a comfortable environment where attendees could freely exchange ideas, ask questions, and gain valuable insights.

During the in-person session, we carefully curated content specifically tailored to the needs and interests of the Higher Education sector. Now, we want to extend this knowledge to all of you virtually. Our primary goal is to enhance your understanding of internal event structuring, key focus areas for expanding your Cvent technology, and effective methods for scaling education initiatives. We recognize that each of you brings unique backgrounds and multiple responsibilities, but your dedication to implementing Cvent across your campus is evident.

Addressing Obstacles in Event Management:
In our session, we discussed the six major obstacles commonly faced in event management on campus. These included lack of campus-wide adoption, siloed attendee data, resource constraints, communication barriers, time pressures, and logistical complexities. To overcome these challenges, we highlighted various features of Cvent that can help, such as Meeting Request Forms, Access Portal, Payment Processing, and OnArrival.

Breaking Down Silos:
One prevalent issue in higher education is the existence of siloed departments, which hinders collaboration and resource utilization, ultimately impacting the student experience. To address this, we discussed strategies to break down these barriers, including fostering open communication, establishing collaborative platforms, promoting knowledge sharing, and encouraging cross-functional teams. By doing so, institutions can operate more effectively, adapt to changes more readily, and achieve better results.

Proving ROI and Overcoming Obstacles:
We also explored how technology, specifically the Cvent platform, can help overcome obstacles and prove ROI. By integrating attendee data, automating data collection, fostering open communication, and utilizing feedback surveys and assessments, you can gather comprehensive insights to demonstrate the impact of events on your campus. Additionally, consolidating your event program, streamlining event efficiencies, and fostering collaboration with other departments will create a more cohesive campus experience and drive collective success.

At Cvent Connect 2024, we witnessed a dedication among attendees to strengthen their event programs and foster collaboration. By consolidating resources, streamlining processes, and leveraging technology, you can achieve a comprehensive overview of campus events and prove the ROI of your technology investments. We encourage you to take the essential next steps of consolidating your event program, streamlining event efficiencies, and fostering collaboration to create a more cohesive campus experience.

Are you ready to join the conversation? We'd love to hear about the event tech strategies you're exploring to achieve success across your campus. Share your thoughts and ideas with us!
