We used Eventsential for our big conference in 2021.  400 people.  It integrated nicely with Cvent.  Some work involved but love the final product look and feel.  Especially branding.  Cost for us is about $7 – 10k per year.  We really like this platform.

We also had ON24 as our Event Hub which we brought on in 2020 to support our virtual events.  We didn't think Attendee Hub was ready for us back in 2020.  ON24 is very expensive.

We did not use Eventsential for our virtual events nor did we use ON24 for our in-person events.

This year we bought the Attendee Hub and App from Cvent.  $5k per year for us is a real bargain since we can use this one product to support both virtual and in-person events.  The downside is it has limited styling options for colors, fonts, etc.  This being our first time using the product, we're waiting to see what the graphics will look like once we get them created and loaded.  We may still go back to Eventsential for the app if we can't get past the limited branding options of the Cvent Hub & App. 

Before Eventsential, we paid a developer to build us an app that only did what we wanted it to do.  Initial build today would cost something like $20k.  We had annual upkeep and revisions to features and other bits and that would cost about $10k per year.  But it was ours.

We currently only use an app for our one large event each year.  We are discussing whether it makes sense to use the app during our smaller, 30-person events.  Of those, we schedule about 10-12 each year.
