  • 1.  A few questions around the Event App

    Hi there, looking for some guidance from an experienced user of the Event App to answer a few questions below

    1. Gamification - can you do more with the gamification then just getting points for using the app for adding sessions, check-in, going to booths.  Looking at using it more for at a specific session answering questions with multiple choice about the content they just learned and receiving points based on how many they got correct. 
    2. Sponsors - where can you add sponsors of the event. These sponsors are not actually at the event though (no booth or no sessions) just want to showcase their generosity of sponsoring the event. 
    3. Navigation bar - on the bottom of the app, can you change the navigation bar? If we don't use community, can we remove from the bottom of the bar and add something else?

    Hi Heidi,

    I hope you are doing well!

    Please see below my responses 

    1.     Solution: As per the current functionality we do not have a direct way to achieve this with gamification.

    1. Sponsors - where can you add sponsors of the event. These sponsors are not actually at the event though (no booth or no sessions) just want to showcase their generosity of sponsoring the event. 

    Solution: You can add exhibitors/sponsors to the event by going to the Exhibitor section in your event and can provide sponsorship levels as well.

    Showcasing sponsors at an event through custom cards, pages, and banners is a great way to promote their visibility and recognize their support. By utilizing custom cards, custom pages, and banners, you can effectively showcase your sponsors and increase their visibility throughout the event.

       3. Navigation bar - on the bottom of the app, can you change the navigation bar? If we don't use community, can we remove it from the bottom of the bar and add something else?

    Solution: Due to product limitations, we cannot remove the community feature from the navigation bar and cannot add something else there. However, as an alternative, the only way the community feature will not show on the navigation bar is when you disable the attendee list, connections, and any other networking feature from the event. This is a workaround.

    I understand your perspective and apologize for any inconvenience. But it sounds like great feedback. I suggest you post this as an idea/feedback for our product team by going to Cvent Community > Participate > Product Ideas.

    We encourage you to always submit your ideas or any challenges you face while working with the product. It also helps our Product Development team to review the possibilities and if it works, we may try to incorporate such changes in our future releases.

    For Sponsors, we do the same as you wrt no exhibit hall, etc.  We build a page on the event specifically to call out the sponsors for the event.  We then make it accessible in the Hub/app.
