  • 1.  Are you dropping cookies in Europe?

    Hi CVENT Community,

I was wondering what other CVENT customers are doing regarding consent management (CMP) for cookies / tech being dropped in Europe. I see CVENT is using OneTrust on their cvent.com website which isn't built in the actual CVENT tool, they have OneTrust cookie banner only coming up in Europe. But when you visit the CONNECT registration page they are using the cookie notification feature that can be found in the event settings --> privacy tab - since those pages were built within CVENT. The issue I have with using that feature is that it's being served to any visitor regardless of their location. So folks in the U.S. can turn off the cookies for analytics like Google Analytics.

Wondering what others are planning to do. It could get complicated to add a CMP provider only via the code snippets feature on CVENT.

    Thanks,
    Evan

Following as we are working with OneTrust and will be trying to figure out how to apply it to our registration websites.
