Hi Rachel,
To echo what Erica and Tori said, many of my customers have seen success with only allowing attendees to add on their sessions in the mobile app, to ensure that attendees have to download the app to see and add the sessions they want to attend at the event. The same goes for providing any sort of session documents - they only make these available via the Attendee Hub Website and App for viewing and downloading. Additionally, many also incentivize their event and session feedback surveys, so if attendees complete their surveys, they are entered into a raffle to receive prizes (and the same can also be done with gamification as well.)

Subject: Best tips for engagement?
I work for a tech company and we often host events where just by nature of our business we should have a mobile app to showcase technology -- sometimes it feels unnecessary and people seem to agree as our download numbers aren't always the highest for all the work that goes into them. Does anyone have good tips and tricks, what things could be exclusive to the app that would get people more interested in downloading it?
