Hi Natalie,
Absolutely! You can have it so the VIP has the main agenda and all the VIP add on agenda items. You can automate this so they get the main agenda and VIP agenda, or you can auto assign the main agenda and they select the other VIP agenda items.
Reg paths are used if VIP needs to be able to select hotel whereas non VIPs dont. Same with flights, approval etc. So you would use a mix of registration types & pathways to get your correct setup. Possibly also using admission items however I would have to know more about your requirements.
Then for reports, you can set them up and put a filter on for VIP and non VIP, if ever you only want to look at that one specific group. Or you can take the filter off if you want to see the event as a whole.
There is a lot you can do with cvent and most of it can be done automatically! Im happy to give you the layout of how I would build it if I were you to minimize the manual hours you are putting into the reg mgmt.

Hi Hayley,
We have never done them in one event. Are you able to have an agenda that works for the main registrants (larger conference) as well as an additional agenda that works for the VIPS? However the VIP agenda is designed so they don't miss out on the main conference agenda too - so both apply to them.
When you say you set up completely different experiences for different types of people do you do that by reg path? We have never done this before and I am pretty new to the process. Like I said - everything in the VIP role was manual and I would love to automate it with e-mails, hotel, airfare, etc.
To answer your above question - I organized all the data manually but we did have a separate pathway for them.
Thank you!

Hi Natalie,
We often have setups exactly like you are describing, however we do it all in the one event. You can set up completely different experiences for different types of people - including agenda, approvals, hotel, airfare etc. What issues have you experienced in the past by having them in the one event?
When you say "organize the data" do you already do this b invitation lists, registration types, registration pathways and reports?
