Hi Rosa,
We are not able to change registration types when attendees are in Pending Approval. You will need to accept the attendee first and then change their registration type by following the steps that Michele listed out above.

When you look at your Attendee list, or if you have searched for a specific person, there is a dropdown arrow to the right of their name. In that menu you can Switch Registration Types. Once you select the new Registration Type, it will also give you a list of areas where changes may need to be made (manually) within the existing registration path.
