Hello community,

Does anyone know if you can activate custom session fields in the Speaker Resource Center? We have custom fields for audience and skill level, which I would like the speakers to be able to select/submit along with the rest of their session information.

Hi Krysten,

Speakers can't answer a custom session field within the Speaker Resource Center. You can however, ask them to fill out this information using a question, associate it to the session in question.

Post that, you'll have to manually transfer that value into the Custom Session field.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, asking for this information during registration or on the questions page in the SRC doesn't really work for our scenario. I would like to see this in a future release. More customization options for the SRC would be very useful and appreciated!

There's no automatic way to do so, no, however you could ask that question of your speakers, either in the Speaker Resource Center or, if you ask them to register for the event itself, in the registration. The data might be easier to export and transfer to a bulk session import from the registration rather than the Resource Center, though it means you'll have to toggle the question visibility so that only speakers see the questions (you can do so based on reg types).

You might  be able to get answers to those questions by adding them as a "task" for the speakers in the SRC. Then you can bulk upload as a custom field in the sessions.
