  • 1.  Help with event website header design issues

Hello. I'm working on the design for an event website, and designing the headers is a clunky experience. I have a few questions:

    • Is there any way to adjust the header so that the title and image can stack?

    • is the background image sizing responsive? Looks as if it does not shrink when viewed on mobile, forcing the type to overlap it. Not good.

    Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

There are two ways to add an image to the header, you can either have an image be the background to that section or you can use the image widget. If the image is used as the background, it will be responsive, but you will not be able to stack it. If you use the image widget, the image will not be responsive, but you will be able to stack it with other widgets, such as a title.

    Hope that's helpful.

For custom graphics with stacking, I have found it simplest to design them outside of Cvent in a tool and then load them as a single image.  Some of the tools I use are Canva or event PPT and convert to an image file.

Like someone else suggested below, it's sometimes easier to create the header outside of the website and upload as one single image.

I personally found it easier to design outside of Cvent. I use Canva if I do not have a professional graphic designer to help.  Make sure you get the exact sizes (you can adjust this in Canva).  There's many versions for this. NPO can get a free professional of canva!

As some others have said, I would design this outside Cvent as a single graphic with your text included. Graphics resize automatically better for mobile as well, so it solves both problems.
