  • 1.  Issues with Cvent Forum – Anyone Else Experiencing This?

    Hi Everyone,

    I've posted many answers in the Cvent forum community, but I've noticed some major issues. 

    1. Incorrect Company Name – My profile shows my company as "Qatar Media Foundation," which is incorrect. 
    2. No Reply Option in Forum Inbox – When I receive a message in my forum inbox, the only available action is to delete it. There's no option to reply, which doesn't make sense.
    3. No Email Alerts for Replies – When someone replies to my comment on their question, I don't receive an email notification.


    Is anyone else facing these issues? I'd love to hear your experiences with the Cvent forum community.

    Hi @Amarnath Annamalai

    1.  I know we were able to get this updated for you since posting and seeing it read correctly in your discussion signature here.

    2. If you receive a notification in your inbox from a discussion in the Open Forum or a user group, you will have the option to reply using the link where it reads "View inbox and reply to the message online". 

      However, if someone messages you directly rather than in a discussion, you may not have the option to respond due to that user's privacy settings. I know there was a recent instance of this occurring for you and we were able to get that one solved as well and allow you to respond. 

    3. Your Forum Notification settings can affect real-time notifications and depend on what is selected there, including your consolidated weekly digest email. We're currently looking into your examples of this to make sure things are set up correctly and that there's no potential bug or error on the Community platform side.

    Hi Kameron,

    Now I see the option to reply to the message when I received another message from the same person. Strange!
