Does anyone have suggestions for something alternative for the logo icon in the Event App? The clients logo is completely horizontal and nearly impossible to size down to the suggested icon size. They don't have any other versions of the logo either but I can't just leave it blank....

I have run into this for some of my sponsor logos to make them square. Occasionally I have been able to crop it to a favicon, but if it is essentially all text, I usually add white space to the top and bottom of the logo until it is square. I use PicPick as a fairly easy photo editor, but you may be able to do it in Paint or something similar. Good luck!

I have a PowerPoint file I use to create the App icons.  I paste in a graphic and change its size so it fits in the 3.2" circle.  On the outside of that circle, I have a 3.3" square.  Once I'm happy with the image inside of the circle, I move the circle to the side.  I take a screen shot of the section just inside of the lines of the box.  It works like a charm!  I've attached my file. 

I do not always use the event graphic or logo.  Maybe something that gives reference to the location - like an image of a palm tree or mountain.  Another thought is using corporate initials or the year of the event.
