We are hosting our first event later this summer using cvent. We have rented the Event in a Box check-in/badge solution. I'm finding that the two vendors recommended by cvent to pre-print the branded name badges are quite expensive, mainly because for the one- or two-color badges, you have to order 1000 minimum. We only need around 350. You can get a full color option with a minimum of 250 pieces, but since they are full color, they are much more expensive.
Before we dug into this, we were under the impression we could just have the entire badge printed on site, but as it turns out, the on-site printers are meant for text only (data tags for name, etc.). Has anyone had any success printing badges with simple graphics on site? Any photos of how they turned out?
Any thoughts or advice for a newbie would be appreciated.
