  • 1.  Need ranked question in event registration

We have a number of events where we need registrants to make a ranked selection in registration (for example - pick 4 activities you'd like, in order, from a a list of 10).   We could do this in classic, but the ranked choice reg question has been MIA since the introduction of flex.

Has anyone found a solution?  We tried a matrix question, but that doesn't  prevent them from picking all as a first choice.  Session groups don't work as they require times and dates to be attached; and simply using 4 choice questions (1st, 2nd, etc) has the same issue as matrix questions.

    I welcome any ideas.

    Cheers,

Sorry - to add as I am now confused, as ranked questions are NOT available in registration.

We had to let people register as coming to the event first and made one generic activity time block included with their admission item.  I tried to use Session Groups and it looked terrible on the registration screen when you brought it in since it can't be formatted nicely.

We sent a Session Ranking Survey for the generic activity/session to the registrants that said yes they could attend. It included 6 questions with all of the same topics listed on each question and let them pick which ones were their top 6 choices.

Once we had all of the responses, we had to move the people to their preferred sessions/times manually for each unique activity/session to make sure we had capacity per room/time.

I hope this makes sense. I believe we had two surveys included for free in our license package. One for an individual session feedback/ranking and another for the entire event's feedback.
