That made me take a 2nd look. I found the issue. I had USA set as default, but....
also added it to the 2nd field. Removing it fixed the issue.

Within the address widgets, you now have the option to set a default country if you'd like (it's optional.) See screenshot below. So, wondering if that may be the case in the settings for this event?
