A very manual workaround can be set up leveraging a Custom Contact Field or Internal Information. On the guest record, enter value the Internal Info Field. Then create a Planner Alert specific to that guest only, Use Advanced Filters in the Planner Alert to filter the chosen Internal Info Field/Custom Contact Field for that guest's value. Repeat for each guest that you want an alert to be sent for.

Does Cvent/OnArrival have a feature that would alert the host (not planner) that their guest has checked in? For large events, the individual that invited the guest there might not be able to locate them onsite. It would be helpful to alert them that their guest has arrived.
